On an expedition to Amboseli National Park in Kenya, I found myself graced with the presence of an elephant family crossing a rugged road. A mother elephant caught my eye as she transformed from a nurturing parent to a formidable guardian within moments. Sensing our proximity as a potential threat, she resolutely stood to shield her family, filling the air with a palpable tension. The golden hour sun further accentuated the drama, casting an orange glow across the scene, which mingled with the suspended dust particles to create an almost ethereal atmosphere.
